Registrar

Mrs. Ayama Chinyere joined the services of the Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo on 3rd May 2005 as an Assistant Registrar and rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar, a position she held until her appointment as Registrar on 1st February, 2019 and was later reappointed for the second tenure in February, 2023. Until her appointment as the Registrar, she has served in different capacity of the college such as Head Exams and Records Unit, and Head Admission Unit. She has also served in different committee of the college where she performed excellently.

DR FLORA IFEOMA OKOGWU

College Librarian

DR. Flora Ifeoma Okogwu is a Certified Librarian registered by Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor Degree, Masters  Degree and Doctor of Philosophy, all in Library and Information Science from the three major Library Schools in Nigeria; Abia State University, University of Ibadan and University of Nigeria, Nsukka, respectively. 

She began her career in 2001 as a Librarian with the renowned Financial Institutions Training Centre in Lagos. She joined the services of Ebonyi State University as Librarian 11 in 2005, where she rose to the rank of Senior Librarian. Since her appointment with the University library, she has worked in various administrative capacities in the library. She was the unit head of the cataloguing and classification unit of the University library from 2005- 2007. She was the pioneer Librarian in charge of the Main Campus Library from 2007-2008. She was in-charge of Presco Campus Library from 2008 - 2016 where she rehabilitated the library with the state of the arts library equipment. She worked as the Librarian in charge of the Faculty of Education library from November 2017 - January 2018. 

Until her appointment with Ebonyi State College of Education Ikwo, as the College Librarian in February, 2019, she was the Librarian in charge of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources Library and a Senior Library Management Staff of Ebonyi State University Library.  She was a member of the University Senate Committee on Library Board, a member of the University Library Acquisition Committee; she headed the University Librarians Committee on students’ exhibition and tour to the Library. Dr. Flora Ifeoma Okogwu belongs to many Professional Associations and prominent among them is the Nigerian Library Association where she served as the Chairman of the Nigerian Library Association, Ebonyi Chapter from 2018- 2021; an Associate Editor of the Ebonyi Journal of Library and Information Science and a Council member of the Nigerian Library Association an umbrella Association of all Certified Librarians in Nigeria, member Communiqué Committee at the NLA National Conference in 2018 and 2019.  She has to her credit several published articles in peer reviewed national and international ranked journals indexed by Scopus, Google Scholar, Thomson Reuters and Web of Science. She enjoys Travelling, Counseling and Reading. She is happily married to Prof. Okechukwu Okogwu and her marriage is blessed with children.
